The Lee Martinez Farm never gets old. There is always something new and exciting happening there especially if the animals are having babies. Over Spring Break my boys and I enjoyed the company of good friends and new friends. A calf was born that Monday and we got to meet Dublin. She’s so sweet and small. We know how fast time goes, so she won’t be small for much longer. There are also piglets coming soon and I’m looking forward to meeting them.
It costs $3 to get into this farm and feed is 25 cents a scoop. They have a cute little souvenir section where the feed is AND they even host parties. Price had his party here when he was 2 and it was thee sweetest thing. The kids were able to go into the stables and pet the animals and they also have horse back riding available.
Not only do they have animals like chickens, cows, and horses there is also a section for playing and make believing. This tractor is a popular attraction. A new section I saw this year was an area with old farming equipment. Our kids got a little history lesson and it actually interested them a lot.
The farm holds camps during school breaks so you may want to look into them if you have a little explorer or farmer on your hands. If you’re interested in supporting the Farm, you or your child can adopt an animal. Contact them at (970) 221-6665 or just show up at 600 North Sherwood for a few hours of fun.
