Laughing Buck Farm

Check out Laughing Buck Farm. They always have fun activities all year long, but nothing is better than hanging out at the farm running after chickens. They won’t be offering any Family Days, but they have lots of classes available for kids of all ages. Sign up quickly because these classes get full fast.

VanCo School of Art

VanCo School of Art is one of my favorite places to be. It’s not just for kids, but teens and adults, too. Coleen Cosner offers individual classes and week long camps. Although her classes are oil painting only, her camps offer kids the choice of print-making, sculpting, bookmaking, and in July she has outdoor oil painting! My 7-year-old son did her printmaking camp last year and had a blast.

Holiday Twin Drive-In

If you want to have a fun night out with the family, check out the Holiday Twin Drive-In theatre. They always have the most recent movies out and it’s nice to enjoy a movie with the food you want to bring and not have to worry about who your kid is bothering. You sit in your own vehicle and listen to the movie through the radio. Leashed pets are welcome, too. Fun for everyone.

Fort Collins Splash Parks

Once upon a time I lived in a neighborhood with a pool. Best four years ever. Now I live without a pool and I crash my friend’s neighborhood pools as often as possible. One thing I love about the Choice City is the number of splash parks around the city. Take the kids to any one of these to cool off this summer.

Rollerland

Want to get out of the heat? Rollerland, the local roller skating rink, has events happening all week. We frequent Tiny Tots skate for the 2 year old, but my 7 year old also loves open skate. We had his birthday at Rollerland and one of the perks is a year-long-pass that gives the birthday kiddo one free entrance each month.

There you have it folks. I’ll be providing another list of activities in the following weeks. Enjoy summer in Fort Collins! If you have any suggestions for fun summer activities feel free to email me, June@growingupfortcollins.com. Maybe it will be featured in the next post!
