AH! I love autumn in Colorado. The leaves change quickly so be sure to get up the Rockies and check out the foliage before snow takes over!
In autumn the air begins to smell more crisp with the change of the season. Flannels are pulled out from the corners of our closets and comfy sweaters become a daily accessory as layering becomes a thing again.
October is especially exciting because of all the fun fall activities that pop up. One of the events I love taking my boys to is the Denver Rescue Mission’s Harvest Farm Fall Festival.
This is one of the Denver Rescue Mission’s staple events to help raise money to support the Harvest Farm New Life Program, a 209-acre rehabilitation program helping men recover from chronic homelessness and addiction.
This year they plan on having even more activities for the family! If you went last year, you probably saw the pig races (which was a big hit for my kids), and they are actually making that an even bigger event this year. There is also a 10-acre corn maze, yard games, hay wagon rides, petting zoo and much more.
The Fall Festival lasts the entire month of October, however it only runs on the weekends. Also, this is not a dog-friendly venue so keep that in mind!
