Can you believe that August is here! If you are as disinclined to welcome fall and the school year as I am… lets just take it slow.
As I try to jam pack the summer with as many trips, fun activities, family bonding time and pool days…I’m simultaneously thinking about the plan for my kiddos this fall.
One of the fun activities I enjoyed putting my kiddos in is the Music Together classes from Mountain Song Music Studio run by Jane Smolens. If you aren’t familiar with her music classes offered throughout Northern Colorado, there is a free demo class coming up at Cool Beans (here in Fort Collins) on Monday, August 29 at 10:00 a.m. (If you are interested, register here.)
About Music Together
I’ve taken both of my kiddos to these Music Together classes and it is quite lively.Cool Beans Playhouse has been running these music classes out of it’s location for many years now and they have it down. Kids gather together (with parents), sit in a circle, and get to singing, dancing, crawling, shaking, and moving.
There is a teacher, who is musically gifted, leading the class in song and movement. Parents and children are encouraged to sing, and I’ve learned that even the shy ones come out of their shell after a few minutes.
The classes are structured for a combination of ages, infants through 4-years-old. Parents or caregivers are an essential part of the class and siblings are welcomed.
Classes begin the week of September 19th so if you’re interested in either going to the demo or signing up for classes you can do so here.
If you have any questions feel free to contact Jane Smolens who is the Director via email at –email@example.com or by phone 495-1120.
