I confess. My 13 year old can easily beat me in a game of chess. Sadly, it won’t be long until the 3 year old can beat me as well. On a recent outing to Old Town Library, my nemeses* honed their skills and prepared for the next thorough humiliation of their mother. At least I can find some solace in my status as Candy Land Champion.
* Yes, I did have to look up the plural form of nemesis.
