Get out your calendar and look ahead to Saturday, October 5th. Most likely, your fall schedule is still looking pretty empty. However, if you’re like me, your time is going to be filled up quickly and weekends will become especially busy. Before that happens, take a moment now to reserve that date.
Because that is the date of I.N.T.E.L.A.C. (It’s Never Too Early to Learn About College). This event, presented by B.A.S.E.Camp and Colorado State University, is offered to all K-12 students and their parents. By participating in age-appropriate treasure hunts, kids will have an opportunity to explore a college campus, learn about various careers, and gather information on colleges, admissions, and financial aid. In addition, there will also be entertainment, food, and beverages.
Personally, I am super duper excited about this event! In all of my years as a Career Counselor, the best were those spent working with youth. There are just so many fabulous possibilities for them to explore. To help them with that exploration and to witness their excitement and curiosity is thrilling. This event offers that experience to both kids and parents. So, I will be there, and I hope you decide to check it out as well.
